Anger could sometimes eat you up, and make you say certain comments about something/someone/some place without even really meaning it. I know, I'm guilty. I've done this almost all throughout my life, but now I'm trying to make a difference. But sometimes, whenever I get the urge to change my habitual way of being, I encounter people that judge me, and sometimes too harshly.
But what would I do? The old me would have judged the person back, and added a mean comment about him/her. But what do I get in return? Nothing. Just saliva and time wasted.
I want everyone to know that sometimes, maybe, we just need to stop judging people. Stop saying mean things about them, and just accept them for who they are, or what they are. No matter how much they might have hurt us before, let's just forgive, but never forget. Keep that memory in mind because sometimes that experience can bring out the best in you. Prove them wrong. However, keep in mind that if ever you're going to do something that will improve yourself, do it because you want to and not because you want revenge. "You" should be the reason for it all and not them.
You surely don't want to grow up and say, "Ako si Danica, sikat na doctor ako ngayon. Marami akong natulungan. Bakit ko nagawa lahat ng ito? Ay kasi, nilait ako ng tita ko na wala akong kwentang anak nong maliit pa ako." That isn't the way to go. The better response would probably be: "Ako si Danica, isang doctor. Sinisikap tumulong hanggat kaya. Bakit ko ginagawa toh? Kasi gusto kong i-challenge ang sarili. Gusto kong tignan kung saan ang akin kakayanin. Kung saan man ako dalhin ng mga pagsubok, isang lang ang importante, ang hindi sumuko."
Life is hard. That's a given. Not because you are born rich, everything is easy as cake. The same goes with the poor. Not because you are poor, everything is always hard. We met hardships, we meet hardships, and we definitely will meet more hardships in the future. Just have hope, have faith, and have the desire to actually do something about it. Nothing else can bring you down.

makati ang paa
Makati ang paa. Lakwatsera. Gala. Just some of the many Tagalog terms to describe beings that are fond of going out and about. Marvin and I are very fond of traveling, but the difference between us is I want to do it the most. We aspire to gallivant around Europe and soak under the sun at Maldives. Unfortunately, those places cost a lot. And I really mean A LOT, so we stick to watching Discovery Travel and Living and National Geo instead. It probably would be great to live a life wherein hopping from one country or island to another was your profession. That would be simply amazing.
The funny thing is that when I was young, I always considered myself to be a home buddy. After school or any extra curricular activity, I would most likely be heading home to get some shut eye. But I have come to realize that I actually grew up traveling. The longest time I've actually lived in one place was eight years, which was in Nueva Ecija. (August of 1995-June of 2003). I grew up in two countries in two different continents, and visited five countries, and lived in four provinces in the Philippines, and countless Philippine provinces have been visited. I finished my studies at the Northern part of Luzon, mostly grew up at the Central Part of it, and was born at the South. Traveling has surely been embedded in my life.
However, the real reason why I truly love to travel is because of the experience. St. Augustine of Hippo pointed out: "The world is a book and those who do not travel, read only one page." God created lands for us to explore. Why put them to waste?
I know that traveling is not something that is easily done since it requires not only free time, but free flowing money as well. But from my point of view, it's important to get away once in a while. Knowledge is not the only thing you get out from it, but it's also considered therapy. And anyways there are plenty of tour, flight, and travel promos out there nowadays, you just have to be industrious enough to look, wait, or sometimes win them. There's always a way if you're really passionate about something.
Go out into the world. There is so much to uncover. But I will leave you with a quote from James Michener, "If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might as better stay home."
Good Night everyone!

First and foremost...
I've always wanted to start a blog because I've always been the type of person that had a lot to say (well, to myself of course). And since I fail to share some of my thoughts to certain individuals, I finally decided just today to start my own blog. At last, a place where I can just spill out my thoughts and share what I want to those that give a damn.
Life. Well, it's amazing. Well probably for those that actually live it, and not only survive it. My life? So far it has been a roller coaster. I've been through a lot at my young age. But hey, I'm not here to whine about my past, nonetheless to celebrate and be enthusiastic of what is to come.
Right now, I am very passionate in some things/activities. Some of which are traveling, food (specifically desserts), and photography. So these would probably be the topics I would talk about most.
But since this is the very first post, no stories for now. However, I will leave you guys with my view of life.
Life is not life without a risk or two. You shouldn't just try to survive it, and get through the day. Live it, breathe it, love it. Because if it's true that when you die your whole life flashes right back at you, I would pretty much sure want it to be a blockbuster hit.
Good Night guys!
